I have been working as a massage therapist for over six years. I have worked for small clinics and big massage chains, but have always enjoyed running my own massage business.I was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. After high school I left the Northwest and headed to San Diego for warmer weather and less rain. I graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree. I majored in Spanish and minored in Psychology. After graduating I decided to pursue something I have always loved, massage therapy. I completed the Massage Practitioner program at the School of Healing Arts in San Diego. I started working at the School of Healing Arts clinic and after a few months started my own massage business.Shortly after, I received an opportunity to come on staff with Young Life in San Diego full-time, but continued doing massage part-time. In the summer of 2009 my husband and I left San Diego and traveled all over the U.S. and visited all 50 states in one year. After our travels we decided to move to Las Vegas.I received my massage license in Nevada and got a job working at one of the largest chains of massage clinics. After 7 months in Las Vegas I was tired of the heat, so we packed up and headed back home to Oregon. I started my own massage business in Portland, Oregon and practiced massage therapy there for about a year.My husband was sick of the cloudy, rainy weather in Portland, so we decided to head back to sunny San Diego where I am once again working for myself as a massage therapist.
