Crave Artisan Chocolate is already making its footprint in Austin. After it’s first year open, the company started producing pillow chocolates for the Four Seasons Austin, participates yearly in the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar, and teamed with The Ginger Man Pub and Craft Pride Bar for occasional chocolate and beer pairings. During the 2014 fall/winter season Crave Artisan Chocolate and Austin Beer Works teamed up to bring out a chocolate stout ‘Choco Leche’ which was available on tap at local hotspots.Born and raised in Austin, Krystal Craig is a self taught and passionate chocolatier who has been producing chocolate in Austin since 2005, starting at the age of 21 years old. She believes in creating chocolate products everyone can appreciate. Krystal also produces chocolates in-house for Jeffrey’s restaurant. Before founding Crave Artisan Chocolate in late 2012, Krystal’s past endeavors include formerly co-founding Arte y Chocolate, developing and producing sipping chocolate for the company Sip, and chocolate consulting for other companies.Besides Krystal’s passion for creating artisan chocolate products, she is a dedicated Pilate’s instructor. Healthy living (which includes the consumption of high quality chocolate) is very important to her. Krystal resides in happy South Austin with her Husband Ian (currently Head Chef at Jeffrey’s) and their pet family.
